RIYADH: Two days after the Riyadh explosion, families are still looking for their relatives’ names on the information boards in hospitals, while medical teams prepare the bodies coming from the morgue.
Al-Hayat newspaper reported yesterday that Al-Shumaisi hospital in Riyadh received charred and severed bodies, 11 of which could not be identified.
In the meantime, Dr. Adnan Al-Abdul-Kareem, director general of health affairs in Riyadh, stated that 79 injured people were released from hospitals after receiving the necessary treatment 35 of whom were Saudis and the rest from different nationalities.
Al-Abdul-Kareem further added that there are still 54 people receiving treatment in different hospitals, 20 of which are Saudis and 34 from other nationalities.
Captain Mohammad Al-Hammadi, civil defense spokesman in Riyadh said “The civil defense department in the Al-Salam district in Riyadh received all the aggrieved people and will continue registering the damage throughout the next ten days.”
